Welcome to Amanda Lauren Eats! I started this blog as a way to share my experiences as a self taught home cook. I was never really a good cook until the last few years when I started teaching myself different cooking techniques and recipes. I knew that one day when I had a child that I wanted her to grow up and have a good relationship with food, which is not something I had until fairly recently. I believe in cooking nutritious meals and having a balanced diet. In 2022 I began my focus on food and really started to look at what I am consuming. I am by no means perfect and I do sometimes eat things one might consider “bad” but life really is about balance. I’ve learned over the years that deprivation has been the key to my failure. My hope in this is to share my journey through life as a working mother and wife.
